About

To all readers and supporters…

I am excited that you will be part of this new journey that we are about to embark on with each one of you. When I started out, it was clear that I wanted Nubia to be a safe haven that would be curated for the feminine rhetoric and represent women who are not sufficiently portrayed in mainstream media.  The name Nubia is borrowed from Ancient Nubia and holds deep significance as part of our rich African heritage. As a feminine given name, Nubia encapsulates the essence of "gold," symbolizing the abundance of this precious mineral that once thrived in the ancient empire. More than just a name, it represents a noble homage to our proud ancestral roots in Northeastern Africa.  Our driving force behind Nubia is to remain committed to provide a space where women can express themselves freely. We bring you articles, videos and podcasts centered around remarkable stories of African women. They aim to show the triumph, resilience, challenges and aspirations of African women.

We aim to play a significant role in the Afro feminist movement. I invite you to join us on this incredible journey as we discover the beauty and wonders of the woman in the African continent. Together we can build a legacy that future generations can be proud of.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a space for African
women to share their diverse stories and
experiences. We aim to celebrate and amplify
the voices and achievements of African women,
and to create a platform for nuanced discussions
on issues affecting women in the African
continent and its diaspora. By offering a variety
of perspectives and showcasing the strength
and resilience of African women, we strive to
inspire and empower our readers to advocate for
themselves and their communities. We believe
that through the power of storytelling and
artistic expression, we can create a more just
and equitable society for all.

Our Vision

Our vision is to inspire and ignite the
alluring African spirit, by telling stories
that resound the great impact of
everyday African women in all spheres
of life. We believe it is our duty to the
African continent and its diaspora to
retell and preserve the history of
African women from the feminine
perspective, while doing our part in
creating the same.
